BOVINE COLOSTRUM

(Dry Powder)

Bovine Colostrum Powder is a concentrated, specially processed, dry form of colostrum, which may be given to calves, pigs, dogs, and cats.

WHAT IT DOES:

Bovine Colostrum
Powder provides the three main classes of immunoglobulins found in colostrum, which are important to the future health, and growth of the young animal.

IgG in bovine serum is in the highest concentration and is involved in antibody mediated responses. It plays an important role in protecting neonates against septicemia, pneumonia, and other infectious pathogens.

IgM is the second highest concentration and is confined to the vascular system. (Due to it's larger particle size). It is involved in the primary immune response.

IgA is the surface protector that coats the intestinal wall due to its resistance to proteolytic enzymes. It helps prevent entry of harmful pathogens and disease to the blood stream.

The first milk produced by the mother, and taken in by the newborn is high in immunoglobulins, which help protect the young animal from a wide variety of problems found in its new environment. Often times, the source of colostrum, (mothers first milk) is inadequate to give the needed protection for these reasons:

Bovine Colostrum Powder offers an extra source of high quality and quantity colostrum for the young animals during periods as described above.

Bovine Colostrum
Powder contains immunoglobulins, which are effective against specific pathogens such as E.coli, Salmonella dublin, Brucella abortus, IBR, Colostridium perfringes, and Hemophlis sommus.

HOW TO USE:

(For immunity transfer)                      20-25 grams as early as possible after birth.

Bovine Colostrum Powder may be mixed in a liquid suspension, milk replacer, or in the regular drinking water, for forced or selective intake. It may also be mixed in a dry food diet when consumption begins.

Bovine Colostrum Powder should be used when the mother’s milk flow is insufficient to meet the colostrum needs of the young, and as a supplemental source of colostrum to help prevent the effects of stress factors such as diarrhea or disease.

Bovine Colostrum
Immugloblobulins are produced from pure bovine colostrum, which is collected from numerous dairy farms, which meet our rigid specifications of herd health. The raw colostrum from these operations is then blended together, which offers you, the user a very broad spectrum on immunogoblins in a spray-dried form.

RESULTS:

Although the most common use of Colostrum is on baby calves, these field trial results demonstrate its success when used on orphaned baby pigs. The treated pigs were given 10 gm./ Kg. body weight of Colostrum on day one. On days 2 thru 10 they received 2 gm./ Kg. body weight. For days 10 thru 21 the pigs were given a regular milk replacer and started on a dry feed diet.

91% survival rate vs. 16% survival, demonstrates
the success of Colostrum on baby pigs very well.
